Tarumanagara University (UNTAR) is a private university located in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Founded on November 18, 1959 by the Tarumanagara Foundation under the name Parahyangan Catholic University. At its inception, UNTAR was dedicated to developing higher education in the fields of economics and business.
In 1961, UNTAR opened the Faculty of Economics which later developed into the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences.
