The young Slovenian chef, Žiga Koprivc , who at the regional finals for SE Europe and the Miterranean made it to the world finals for the special S.Pellegrino award for social responsibility, present his dish Just the two of us to the guests of the S.Pellegrino Brunch in the Lili garden New PEN Klub restaurant. It is an award that is part of the S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy global competition for young chefs . Žiga has already done his job in front of the competition jury, and in July it will be known whether his dish has become the most sustainable dish in the world.
Slovenia was represent at the regional final by two young chefs
The S. Pellegrino Young Chef Academy (SPYCA) competition was held for the first time in 2015. And Slovenia has been part of the competition since the very beginning. The competition was design as an inspiring community that latest phone number database offers talent and ambitious. Young chefs the opportunity to present themselves, learn, get mentors, and network. So far, five itions have been held (2015, 2016, 2108, 19/21 and 22/23), in which 1554 young chefs participat. In the four finals so far, a total of 28 different judges have judg, including some from Slovenia.
